About Bergerac

Damien Molony (Derry Girls, Brassic) takes over the role of Detective Jim Bergerac, originally played by John Nettles in the 1980s series.

The six-episode first season is a modern reimagining of Bergerac and also stars Zoë Wanamaker (My Family, Shadow and Bone, Black Ops) as Charlie Hungerford and Philip Glenister (Steeltown Murders, Life on Mars) as Arthur Wakefield. Written by Toby Whitehouse and directed by Colm McCarthy, the series features many of Jersey's iconic locations including the Royal Square and St Ouen's Bay.

Like the original 1980s series, the new reimagining of Bergerac is set in the island of Jersey in the Channel Islands. Many scenes in the drama series were shot on location in Jersey.
